1. Principle of swing system

2.1 Flexibility of movement patterns

The pendulum welding head can only move in one direction, that is, it can only move in one direction. Although the flexibility is low, it is simple to operate and can meet most welding needs.

The double-swing welding head can move horizontally and vertically, which makes it more flexible in welding. Yet, due to the complicated movement of the double pendulum, certain experience requirements are required for welders. 



2.2 Accuracy

Where high-precision welding is required, the double-pendulum system can achieve higher accuracy. Although the pendulum system can also achieve a certain degree of accuracy, it is still difficult to achieve precision welding in complex situations.

Dual pendulum systems work together to achieve more efficient welding. That is, while one swing mechanism is welding, the other swing mechanism is preparing the next welding path, which reduces the waiting time. The pendulum system needs to wait for one welding path to be completed before proceeding to the next welding.

The structure of a double pendulum system is relatively complex, so the cost is usually higher than that of a single pendulum system. Yet, where high-precision, high-efficiency welding is required, the return on investment of a double-pendulum system will be higher.

3.1 Welding requirements:

If the welding workpiece has a simple structure and the welding area is small, a pendulum system may be a better choice.

If the workpiece structure is complex, or the area to be welded is large, a dual pendulum system may be suitable.



3.2 Welding quality:

Pendulum welding is faster, but prone to problems such as penetration, pores, and spatter. If you have extreme requirements for welding speed, you can consider pendulum welding.

Double pendulum welding has higher quality welds. If you value weld quality more, a double pendulum system may be a better choice.



3.3 Device Configuration:

Pendulum Control System The laser beam can only move in one direction. Suitable for common simple welding needs, such as furniture welding, sheet metal welding, billboard welding, etc.

Double pendulum control system The laser beam can move freely. It is suitable for welding tasks with complex workpiece structures and changeable processing paths, such as mechanical components with included and dead corners.



3.4 Cost considerations:

The structure of the double pendulum system is relatively complex and usually, the cost is relatively high. The choice can be weighed based on budget and actual needs.
